Because we are committed to supporting students who are building careers we provide a comprehensive range of student support services for our students. Free confidential counselling sessions happen at regular times throughout their period of studies addressing any personal or educational issues that are affecting our students. Our students are encouraged to express their concerns that they are experiencing within this supportive environment. These counselling experiences often lead to insights and clarity of issues for the student so that they can reduce any discomfort and anxieties they may be experiencing and as a direct result can get back on track to achieving their academic or life goals.
According to the Standard 6.7 of National code 2018, Grenfell Institute of Technology Australia ensures that its staff members who interact directly with overseas students are aware of the registered provider’s obligations under the ESOS framework and the potential implications for overseas students. If you need any counselling or student support, please book an appointment with the Student Support Services Team on the Main Campus. An appointment can be made at reception or by emailing our student support team at info@gita.edu.au. Students requiring assistance with course progress should contact the student support services as soon as possible. Personal Counselling Services are available to all students and may take the form of advice or referral to other services. Personal counselling services are provided in accordance with Grenfell Institute of Technology Australia ’s code of practice and confidentiality procedures.
